Well yes, I agree that it is no one else's business if you do not want it to be. But if someone asks, and I am not ashamed, I am going to tell them. It is not a matter of justifying it or myself to anybody. I just simply explain to them what I do and how much I earn, and sometimes how much they can earn if they begin to do the same kind of online work that I do.
Most people that I tell about this, either begin online work to start bringing in some extra cash, or they are just astounded that there are actually legitimate ways to make money online. It is pretty cool seeing their reactions.
That's great for you, but a) I am big on boundaries and don't discuss this sort of thing in general with people and b) where I live working and online do not go together. Most people see the Internet as strictly for recreation and even though I am a writer and have been paid decent money at times online, it's still no one's business as far as I am concerned.
I have interacted with a lot of people from different countries on various sites who have come under criticism for the time they spend online. I just feel that what you do and how you live has nothing to do with other people.
