Since we don't have a section on politics, which is highly unfortunate, I'll post this here.

Would love to know what you ladies thought of Michelle Obama's speech at the DNC. I've heard rave reviews so far - she's a bit like a savvier Jackie O. I thought her speech was incredibly inspiring, especially when it touched on ensuring that opportunity existed for future generations ('when you walk through the door of opportunity, you don't let it slam shut behind you') and the student debt and struggle that both her and her husband faced. What a role model!

I thought her speech was fantastic. She has so much poise, confidence and class. Behind every successful man is a strong and powerful woman. ;)

I have liked the First Ladies more than the Presidents. I certainly liked Laura Bush more than George W, Barbara Bush more than her husband, and Hilary more than Bill Clinton. I love seeing these strong and formidable women in their own right.

Hillz is classy, but tough - I can totally agree with you on liking her more than her husband. I'm particularly amazed at the fact that she's essentially running US foreign policy, being a negotiator is a tough job. It does a lot to break down the stereotype that men are better suited to power positions. Also, I can't get enough of the Hillz memes. Check it out:

And Obama had poise, passion and charm. I wonder if she's going to consider pulling a Hilary after the Obama girls are older and running for office herself.
