Bedroom Tidying

Has anyone got any tips on how to get children to keep their bedrooms tidy.
I have 3 children and the youngest Madeline who is 8 is the worst after asking her to tidy up she can literaly spend all day in her room and doing has changed. I have tried putting stuff that hasn't been put away in black bags, but this doesn't work. She is good and obedient every other time. Has anyone any suggestions.

Have you got those big plastic boxes that stack up? These are good for storing toys etc. Maybe with Madeline you could reward her once a week with a little treat if she manages to keep her room tidy and makes her bed in the morning?

Snowy would be good with this question as she was a Nanny and Dot has a son about the same age.
