Yes, I have recently moved, in addition to the new job. That's a lot for someone like me, I don't much like change...but ANYway...
I moved about 15 minutes closer to work, to an apartment across the street from my favorite pub that has great food and great music. Below that apartment is a service station...not the one I work for, but it's still cool. Next door is a little store with a deli and everything. Imagine going from the boonies to this, it's AWESOME!!!
I get the good bedroom, IMO, because the window faces the street and if I choose to leave it open, the sounds of Sunday night jam, or Monday night Open Mic, or The Thugz on Thursdays (which we fondly refer to as HippieFest), or the occasional random Saturday night band waft up into my room and either lull me to sleep, or entice me to get up and go across the street (usually in my jammies, LOL), to join the fun.
The place looks terrible from the outside, I guess they have never heard of a power washer, but inside it's cool. It's a big 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom place, with white white walls  Luckily, I have enough stuff that's colorful, and the place is getting some serious personality!
We moved in with a friend and her son, they are sharing the master bedroom, and my daughter and I each have a bedroom and share a bathroom, which is delightful, actually! My friend and I actually had to move in together so we could catch up on our finances...unfortunately, she isn't seeming like she's going to be able to catch up, she's having a difficult time finding a job, so eventually I think it will be just my daughter and myself, which is fine, except for me worrying about my friend!
But, if that happens I have decided that my daughter gets the master bedroom, along with the bathroom with the tub! But hopefully my friend can get it together, she's definitly trying! Going on interviews every day, and working part time at the deli next door, I wish her the best!
Funny thing is that I didn't think I could live with a room mate type person, but we are getting along just fine! I am gone most days, working and stuff, and she has been giving me time alone on Sundays, my only day off, which she doesn't have to do, but I appreciate the sentiment!
