Ahhhh I found a DVD of Rebel Without A Cause for $15!!!! And of course bought it! I'm so excited. There was a sale on for DVDs "$20 or less" and there it was, Hott James Dean on the front looking all badass (though, really, he doesn't look particularly hott on the front but still). I could have gotten a DVD of 3 classic comedies (all black in white so I was all OMG LVOE) for $20 but I figured that Rebel Without A Cause is so much more classic and a must have.
I've always wanted this! Especially after seeing this dramadoco thing about Natalie Wood, who plays James Dean's girlfriend and, let me tell you, that Natalie was insane. She was afraid of EVERYTHING. Especially water because her mother went to a psychic who said "beware of water" and all of Natalie's life, her mum said to her "that was about you, darling" and you know what? Natalie Wood drowned. OooooOOoo. Of course, I didn't see that part of the doco because it was a two part series and, me being the numpty that I am, I forgot to watch it *facepalm*
But weeeee Rebel without a cause! I'm going to watch it today. Has anyone seen it? What's it like? Does it live up to the hype?
Also, my other fabulous buy that makes me oh so happy - Four CDs for 25$. One is "50 hits of the 40s and 50s" which has ANDREWS SISTERS on it who I lvoe lots but I've never seen a CD of. And the other is "50 Big Band Classics". Thus each is a 2-CD set. This is awe-some. Every single jazz set I've seen so far, always has Glenn Miller - In the Mood. Every.
Why are my posts always so big? Maybe it has something to do with the rambling....hmmm.
