Tis such a great feeling huh?
As some of you may know, I've been left as acting manager at my work, after Xmas the big bosses had the great idea that all stores were going to be re-arranged...........because God knows we don't have enough to do without moving every single section in store to another location :umm: .
So 2 weeks ago I received in the post a nice big shiny book with all the new store plans and the new store layout. Now I am a big believer in NOT saying "I'll do it 2morro" so I got stuck in. Between me and the girls we have been moving approx 4 bays of the store every day.......YAY us.
Yesterday I got a phone call from my lead store manager....
"Lou? it's Sandi....how many bays have you put back to plan?"
"Hi Sandi, I'm just finishing off number 40"
< SILENCE DEAFENING SILENCE>
"ërmmmmmmmmm 40?????"
"ermmmmmmmmm yes"
"are you sure?"
Then followed a long conversation about how I couldn't possibly have done so many and having her run thru everything I must have forgotten to do (all of which was done). Then she said "Well......I don't understand it, there are experienced managers out there and the most anyone else has done is 23"
<stifled giggle>
So it looks like my store will be the first in the region to be fully put back to normality and the best bit is that it is annoying the hell outta the rest of them.....not because they are being beaten but because they are being beaten by someone who has been with the company for less than a year and isn't even officially a manager.
So to all those other store managers...........sucks to be you huh?
