right here, breathing down your neck.
so i got chemical burn a little while back. all the skin on my hands peeled off and it took forever to grow back to where my hands even remotely resembled hands, but now the skin on my hands (and feet, i got chem. burn on them too) looks like i'm about fifty, it's all wrinkly and ugly looking. does anyone have a suggestion as to what could make my hands and feet normal again?

Seeing as you're dealing with a burn of a type, I'd personally check with a skin specialist, e.g. your doctor, to find out what you can use on the skin. Sounds like they need moisture put back into the skin, but you don't want to irritate your skin by using a product that is not appropriate!

I'm sorry you suffered these burns

eh, it was my own stupidity that did it,,, and an insufficient warning label on a bottle of scrubbing bubbles. and i've been to the doctor, they just said lotion, but i've been lotioning, several times a day, it isn't helping very much.

I guess you'll just have to wait and be persistent. Did your doctor tell you that it would all be ok, or that the damage was irreparable?

Well, I burnt my hands really, REALLY bad when I was about eight. I has some sort of chemical, like hairspray or something on my hands and reached across a candle for a napkin... WOOSH! Anyway, burnt my skin right off. I went to the dermatologist. And he prescribed something or other and now you can't even tell. So I agree, talk to your doctor about it now, and see what he/ she says.
It's been several months, has it improved at all?

Be sure to be persistent about the lotion you use for about 3-6 months. If changes are not happening during the period of them, it is time for you to switch the type of lotion that you apply and possible the dermatologist that you have been consulting as well. :)

Ah, I know a good remedy for this!

A steroid cream such as Cortozone (sp?) LIGHTLY over the affected area and then take a GENEROUS amount of thick moisturiser such as E45 cream or Aqueous Cream and heap it on over the steroid cream. Once or twice a day should be find, and it works best if you do it before bed, and sleep with cotton (it must be cotton, not wool) gloves on over the steroid cream and moisturiser.

I hope that helps! I got such chemical burns on my legs and repeated that ritualistically twice a day (once before bed) and now my legs are as good as new and super soft.

Oh, i am so sorry to hear that :(
I have never had such experiences in my life so i dont know what can be helpful.
Maybe you can go to see a doctor and ask for some medicine.
You can also try vitamine E which can be helpful to reduce the scar.
You can also search in google.
