Having trouble starting to write?
Here's an idea for a piece that you could write. We did it at our DA (Drabblers Assoc. = creative writing club) meeting a while back.
The Senses
Listen to a piece of music and as you listen to it note down what images, smells, textures, sounds and tastes it conjures for you and then write a piece using those sensations.
It can be any sort of music. We listened to Cannonball by Damien Rice and Fever by Michael Buble.
