Pop singer and actress Billie Piper has had a baby boy and the delivery was by an emergency Caesarean at the Portland Hospital in London.
Laurence Fox, who is Piper’s second husband, told reporters that the baby, who weighed 6lb 11oz, is going to be called Winston James Fox and was born at 0100 BST on Tuesday.
26-year-old Piper, who is currently starring in Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, married Fox last December but it was her first husband, the TV and radio presenter Chris Evans, who made the news of the baby’s birth public.
Fox explained that Billie Piper had been in labour for 26 hours before she had gone into the hospital and he showed reporters a picture of his baby son on his mobile phone.
