Can you call a friend at 2 a.m. with an 'emergency?'

There are few friends you can do this with, however people see me as such a friend and I would get calls at 2 or 3 a.m. which I would assume is an emergency.

However sometimes it was of sorts; a call from a boyfriend that upset them or a dilemma what to do and I would take these calls! These days I switch off my phone unless I know someone may need me, but have you got someone you can call to chat to at 2 a.m.?

My other half would think nothing of calling me at 2am, 3am, 4am, he says he does it to see if im awake! Like im going to be at that time, Ive got the school run at 8.30am and a 14 month old. If I needed to talk to him though, I could call him at any hour, he wouldn't mind.
