Can he be anything more than a friend?

Hey all! There's a guy at my work place who is really a good friend. He is really sweet and friendly. Well, he is sweet and friendly with everyone. That's a good quality about him. However, recently we became quite good friends and we chat for long hours too. He makes sure he replies me even though he's busy. He always checks in to me and the best part is he understands me. Whenever I'm upset or angry with something, and even if I try to hide it, he gets to know somehow and tries his best to help me out. Well all these qualities is getting me to like him even more and I think I'm kind of falling for him. But since I'm not sure what he feels, I don't want to jump in with anything. So, how do I get to know whether he likes me more than a friend or not. From whatever I've noticed he sure looks at me, when we talk in a big group.
