Baby Showers

Hey Girlies,

I need some help. I've been put in charge of planning my friend's baby shower.

The problem is that I have absolutely NO idea what to do or where to start. My place is too small for something like that, so I'll probably have to rent a room in a restaurant or something... which is fine. But I have questions like:

- Are baby showers for women only?

- What kind of present ideas can I suggest to people?

- How pregnant should she be when I have the shower?

- Should the husband be there?

- What kind of games can be played at a baby shower?

Things like that. If any one can offer any experiences from their shower or showers they have been to, please let me know. I'm going to need all the ideas I can get!

Thankies!

Typically, baby showers aren't done in the UK, but probably are getting more popular... I can only comment on what I *think* it's about or what I've seen on tv

Can be for women only or both. I've seen it done both ways on telly.

My instant reaction to this is, let people think of their own gift ideas

Not sure if that's how it's done though lol

If you're having guys then yeah, but if not I'd kick him out lol

* How many toilet paper squares long is mummy-to-be's bump?

I'll post more ideas asd I think of them... maybe the other girls can correct me on anything I'm wrong about, or add their own ideas *hint hint*

No but it seems that women prefer them to men and it gives the girls a chance to get together annd have some fun.

Your friend probably has a list of things she needs for the baby, maybe try and get the list and then send it out to everyone. Or find a nice website online that does baby things and start a gift list. That way people can choose something but make sure that no-one else has bought it.

I would say between 28 and 35 weeks. Any later than that and she will be utterly exhausted and too heavy to enjoy herself.

If he wants to be...
