Straight Hair or Curly?

Which do you prefer? My hair is naturally curly, and has less curl more wave, as I get older. I always wanted it straight when I was younger, but now I like the curl. It seems that most of us want the opposite of what we have. Or, do you just like both, and go straight/curly depending on your mood?

My hair is thick and straight, but I love gentle curls. I made the mistake of getting a perm when I was younger and because my hair was so thick, she used a strong lotion. I was a poodle for most of the year until it dropped. All photos from that time have been destroyed.

My hair would be very wavy if I didn't brush it out. I mean it stinks too because I hate having to always maintain my hair because otherwise it just wouldn't look good. I mean I would love to have curly hair, but that's just not going to happen with my hair. I do like my hair straight, so I usually do straighten my hair in the mornings. I wish that it was like that naturally though.

I love having curly hair! I think over the years, a lot of women with curly hair use keratin to get it straightened permanently because of social pressure to have the same hair as everyone else.

I'm right in the middle, I have naturally wavy hair and even though I used to hate it I've finally come around to liking it more.

When I was younger I hated the waviness and either straightened or curled my hair every single day and it ended up so damaged and dry. For the last little while I've been letting it air dry and and only using heat once in awhile, and it looks so much better and healthier. I wish I could go back and tell my middle school self to stop obsessing over the straightening iron!

I prefer curly. My hair is naturally so curly and having my hair out and free feels amazing. I just dislike the fact that in winter time, it becomes a strategy game to wear hats, avoid dryness, and stay warm all at the same time.

I feel fortunate because I have naturally straight hair and can curl it with hot tools whenever I want to add texture. Lately I have been wearing my hair straight and parted down the middle. I enjoy this style because it is fuss free and takes me only a few seconds to finish. My favorite curling tool is my spiral iron that creates wispy waves that stay all day.

You are lucky. Most people that I know you have straight hair can't get the curl to hold all day. I love the spiral iron too.

I have straight hair but I love curls.

Does your hair stay curly when you curl it?
