Who else hates getting up early in the morning?

When I lived in Chicago, people would have to drag me out of bed. After I moved to La I wake up on the dot every day at between 7:30 and 8. Big change from my previous wake up time which was 3:30 pm! I would suggest if you live in a cold climate to keep the heater by your bed. If you are already warm, the bed covers wont be as enticing! If you live in a warmer climate start off your morning exercising. It sounds like a terrible idea, but if you get in the habit of doing it, your body will create a natural alarm clock that makes you excited to get out of bed and start your day. This is something I would have never dreamed of doing a couple years ago. Waking up at 7 to me also was like the middle of the night. Practically torture. However I promise you, that if you create a morning routine, you learn to love your mornings. Also, if you party, try to keep in on the weekends. I know it really used to kill my mornings when I went out every other night.

I do not like getting up early in the morning, but I like it a heck of a lot better if I know that I have coffee waiting for me. I have found that using melatonin or GABA helps me fall asleep better. Especially the GABA stuff helps me wake up a heck of a lot more rested. Otherwise I wake up and I feel as though I should go right back to bed.

Getting up in the morning isn't fun for me either, but I always manage to do so. It's funny, when I was younger I made such a big fuss about this kind of things, but now that I'm older I just don't. I just do whatever I have to do, almost like some kind of robot or machine, I no longer think that much about the things I found to be tedious, because I know it serves no purpose and I still need to get that kind of things done. Actually it helps a lot!

I'm not going to lie and say I'm more active than ever now and I get everything I should get done fast, but at least now I don't dread that kind of things as much as I did in the past. To me that's a big win :)

;););)I kind of like milling around in the morning on Saturdays because I know I can sleep whenever I want. But on weekdays, I have to get up at 5.a.m. I really hate it! Does anyone else read while there eating? It help me digest but every time I do it on weekdays, it makes me late. Ugh! I wish that we could stay in bed whenever we wanted......that would be so nice:sleep: I would sleep ALL DAY!!!!!:sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::LOL::LOL::LOL:

Anyone else feel that way? Ooooooooh. I gonna go to bed right now. See you later!!!!! ( not really I wana stay on this forum im not gonna sleep aww ):sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:

Btw, my digital point- where did you get the pic? The one with the swirly rainbow stuff. I am really new. I just joined yesterday. P.S. How do you start discussion?

Hate getting up. The baby wakes me by 6am which is still pitch black at the moment, so I turn the tv on in the bedroom for him (he's 15 months) and get him some toys, then get back into bed for a hour! Then I have to wake my 6 yr old, he's always been a heavy sleeper, even as a baby he slept til 10 am, for school we have to leave the house by 8.30am, hate those icy morning s when you have to scrape the windows. Dont even get a lay in at the weekends at the moment, cant wait til little one is old enough to leave me alone for an hour or 2!

Just wanted to add I should go to bed earlier, sometimes dont go up til 1 or 2 am so its my own fault im tired all day.

Since I don't work or study anymore, I screwed up my sleeping rhythm pretty hard, I stay awake the night and sleep most of the day... I hate it! Completely hate it hahaha I just wish I could wake up earlier.

I just liked it when I used to wake up with the sun rested. I do not like however to wake up when I'm still tired and groggy... Who does?

Not me :D Not anymore at least, some months ago I'd have replied that there is nothing worse than getting up early, but now I'm getting up at record times! I'm going to bed so early, like at 7 or 8 p.m., so I end up getting up so early in the morning and i love it, because I get to do all my chores so early! I'm doing with my writing (work), I make my breakfast, and then I have the rest of the day to dedicate it to other things.

I must say I love getting up so early, I truly hope things continue this way! I love going to bed as soon as I feel sleepy! The only bad things is I no longer get to watch the walking dead episode on TV :( But oh well, maybe they air repetitions later on?

I had the same issue you did when I traveled to other country, I came back home and my clock was totally off! That was some years ago, it took me a while to fix my own clock, but i eventually did :p You just need to try to find the perfect time to go to bed. I have found mine, I go to bed at 7 or 8 p.m. and end up waking up so well rested at 5 a.m.

The funny thing is, I travelled a lot in my life, and I pretty much never had trouble with jet lag! It's crazy. I travel, and sometimes the time change is anything between 3 and 13 hours, and I'm fine either right away or after two days. But since we changed our sleeping rhythm, I've been trying to change it, but it keeps going for a few weeks now. I suspect that being two people stuck like this is worse, because he makes me tired when he's tired and cuddles, and he keeps me awake when he's awake and doing his stuff -- and vice versa. Aaarghhh.

Oh yeah, I had the same when I was staying at the boyfriend's house. Ugh, I don't know how I ended up doing the same he did: staying awake! Yes, if he stayed awake until 2 a.m. I had to do the same! I couldn't go sleep earlier because I knew he was there, in the bed, watching videos on his mobile. I tried a couple of times, but couldn't fall asleep until he actually went to bed :O

I only hope that if we get married we can both coexist with different routines :) Life as a couple can be so challenging at times, hehehe!

I absolutely HATE waking up early! I always sleep late and never wake up early.
Whenever I try to sleep early, I keep tossing and turning around in my bed until AT LEAST 1:00-2:00 AM .

O Sleep, You Magnificent Thing!

All of those morning memes with people falling out of bed...yeah, that's me. I look at them and think, how brilliant! Here is a perfect example of what I am feeling at this very moment, even if I am walking around, I am thinking...bed...bed...bed...bed. If I could go out into the battlefield of the world in chosen attire, my armor would be made of blankets, my helmet from a pillow, and my sword would be a cup of coffee, with a book as my shield. When I am finally able to greet nightfall, pull the covers over my head, and turn myself into a human burrito, it is then when all is right with the world.
